Carbon Reduction Plan

Our committment to acheiving carbon negativity

Our commitment to achieving Net Zero

Qberry is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2025

Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations. As a company focused on sustainability, we aim to minimise our environmental impact. Founded in 2025, will baseline our emissions for the period August to December 2025.

Emissions reduction targets

To continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets:

  • To reduce the company’s carbon emissions over the next years to as close to 0 tCO2e as practicable, by 2030.
  • To engage in carbon reduction and removal initiatives so that our operation is net negative, principally through reforestation projects.

Carbon Reduction Projects

Current Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been launched or will be implemented this year. We are committed to off-set all emissions through various organisational initiatives. These include:

  • We contribute to tree-planting initiatives via the Woodland Trust and One Tree Planted, planting over 200 trees each year.
  • Green incentive for employees to switch their home electricity supply to renewable energy tariffs.
  • We have changed our office lighting to LED.
  • Work From Home Programme. Our work from home programme helps to sustainably reduce the amount of business travel and commuting, having a significant impact on reducing our carbon emissions.
  • More sustainable travel for work. We encourage more sustainable travel for work, meaning more of our staff are using public transport and electric cars for business travel and commuting.

We estimate that our carbon emissions per employee will be 0.120 tCO2e in 2025. However, through our environmental initiatives, including over 200 trees planted within the UK and in the Amazon Rainforest, we will fully offset our carbon emissions for the year.

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

  • Further expanding our tree-planting initiatives to sustain carbon negativity
  • Consciously reducing global travel
  • Further encouraging uptake of our green incentives
